Most of my students have taken an English name. Many are just english words that sound like their Chinese names-- like Shark.

I particularly like the encouragement this student offers me. I think I can hadle it as well.
Of course there are some things that I can't talk about with my students here: Tibet and Tawain are at the top of that list. Yesterday I was explaining what a "Veteran" is and said, "A Veteran is someone who fought in a war and we respect them because they were fighting the good fight. Like the American soldiers in World War II or .........(tryiung to think of the next war that we weren't fioghting a chinese aly)..... or Iraq.
